Computational optimal control
Project description
This project applies abstract algebra, convex analysis, and semigroup theory to develop new computational methods for solving optimal control and dynamics problems in finite and infinite dimensions. Recent successes include a new fundamental solution for the gravitational N-body problem, a new algebraic construction for fundamental solution groups for general wave equations (including Schrodinger, etc), a new game theoretic approach to the solution of state constrained regulator problems, etc.
